General

Does my image get uploaded to a server?
No. Vectorizing and background removal run entirely in your browser; your file never leaves your device. Only features like AI logo generation and upscale need server-side processing.
Which formats do you support?
Input: PNG, JPG, WebP, BMP. Output: SVG and PNG — you can copy the SVG code to your clipboard and paste it straight into Figma, Illustrator, or HTML.
Can I use the output commercially?
Yes. The vectors you produce are entirely yours — no license or attribution required.

Quality & settings

How do I get the best result?
For logos and illustrations, use a low color count plus a high speckle filter. For photos, keep the color count in the 20-32 range. For sketches/line art, try black & white mode.
What happens with large images?
For tracing, the longer edge is downscaled to 1000px (for speed). Since the output is a vector SVG, it's still infinitely scalable regardless.
My vectorized result looks blurry or pixelated — what should I do?
Usually the source image is low-resolution or heavily JPEG-compressed. Try again with the original, uncompressed PNG if you have it, and raise the speckle (detail) filter one notch.
The colors look different from the original — why?
If the color count is set low, nearby tones get merged. Raise the color count and compare in the preview; if there's still a difference, make sure the image's color profile is sRGB.
The output SVG has too many nodes/paths and the file is large
Lower the speckle filter and raise the path simplification level. For photographic images, bringing the color count down to 16-24 noticeably shrinks the file.

Troubleshooting

Hair or fur edges don't separate cleanly during background removal
Fine, complex detail (hair, fur, tulle) is the hardest case for automatic segmentation. Use an image shot against a flat, high-contrast background if you can; download the result as PNG and touch up edges by hand if needed.
My uploaded file gets rejected or errors out
Formats other than PNG, JPG, WebP or BMP, and very large files (several hundred MB+), get rejected. Convert the file to PNG/JPG and try again; if it still fails, refresh the browser tab.
The exported SVG looks broken in another program (Illustrator, Figma)
First confirm the paths look right in the browser preview. Some cross-app differences are normal (e.g. viewBox scaling); when bringing it into Figma, pasting the SVG code directly is more consistent than importing it as a file.
Some files fail during batch processing while others succeed
Usually specific files have a format mismatch (e.g. a CMYK-profile JPG) or are corrupted/partially downloaded. Upload the failed ones individually and check the error message.
A credit was spent but the result didn't download, or I got an error
Email us at destek@pixovec.com with the time of the operation and which file it was, and we'll refund the credit to your account.
I paid but the credits haven't shown up in my account
Credits are added within a few seconds via webhook — refreshing the billing page is usually enough. If it takes longer than 5 minutes, contact us at destek@pixovec.com with your order number.
The browser slows down during batch processing
Loading a large number of big images at once can strain browser memory. Splitting the set into groups of 15-20 files and processing them separately is more stable.

Credits & payment

How much can I use for free?
A few previews a day without an account; signing up gives you 5 free credits. Tweaking settings and previewing are always free.
What does 1 credit get me?
One full export: a watermark-free SVG/PNG download, or a background removal.
Who processes payments?
All payments are securely handled by Lemon Squeezy. Your card details never touch our servers.
Do credits expire?
No, purchased credit packs never expire. On the Pro subscription, unused credits from a given month roll over to the next one.
Can I cancel my subscription anytime?
Yes — cancel with one click from the customer portal on the billing page; you keep access until the end of the current period.
