Image-to-vector tools: a 2026 comparison

The only way to make a logo or illustration scale forever is to turn it into a vector. So which tool should you use?

Edge quality, color separation, node count (cleanliness), processing time, privacy (does the file leave your device?), and cost.

Why does in-browser processing matter?

If the image never leaves your device, the privacy risk is zero and the result comes back instantly. That's exactly what Pixovec does: tracing runs locally via WebAssembly/JS.

When do you actually need AI?

Generating a logo from scratch or upscaling resolution needs a model call, which is billed in credits. Pure vectorizing doesn't require AI at all.
